Guidelines and Rules for the Art Contest

Create your own artwork that shows your personal or family food traditions, focusing on recipes, ingredients, favorite meals, or cultural traditions.

The competition aims to inspire curiosity, cultural awareness, and confidence in self-expression.

Eligibility and Rules :

Open to all students residing in Los Angeles Council District 12. There are four categories within the 5 & above age group:

  1. Elementary (Kindergarten through 5th grade)

  2. Middle School (6th through 8th)

  3. High School (9th-12th grade)

  4. Post-Secondary Education (all education following high school, including vocational training & academic degrees.)

Each student can submit one entry.

Artwork must be the original work of the participant.

Suggested mediums: Pen, Pencil, Paint, Pastels, Crayons.

Digital artwork and photography are allowed.

You must NOT use AI in your entry, or your entry will be disqualified from the competition.

Accepted formats: JPEG, PNG, or high-quality photo of a physical piece (e.g., canvas, paper drawing).

Keep it family-friendly: Please no offensive or inappropriate themes or language.

Artwork must be submitted online through the website’s submission form below.

By entering the competition, you agree to allow us to display your artwork on our website and promotional materials, with proper credit to the artist.
